I usually ignore fatal errors for that very reason.  But I won't ignore the "Exceeded Storage Limits".
If a person's e-mail can't handle a mailing list, there ARE other options.  So, like I mentioned... if I get a "full mailbox" error, I put them on digest... from there, they have 2 days (2 Digest mails) to get it back under control, or choose a different option.
After that, they're gone.
For the record, if anyone is planning on going away for any length of time, or knows that they won't be able to get to their mail for a while, it only takes a mail to the list admin to set up an alternate method of receiving list mail.
And everyone keep in mind... on the Wind-Up list, you were dinged if one days worth of posts returned with an error.  So technically, we're being generous.

it's not like this is a particularly high volume list or anything.   I would ask, though, to be a bit understanding with MSN and hotmail mailboxes 'cause we're dogfooding .NET servers and the IIS 6.0 clusters are working overtime these days.  I mean, obviously the "exceeded storage" speaks for itself.  I meant the "fatal error" ones and such.

This is a Probe message.  All error messages that come back will be acted on immediately.
Any "exceeded storage" messages will result in the person being moved to the DIGEST list... where they will have 2 days to clean up their mail.  If I get 2 errors from them after that, they are removed from the list.
Repeat offenders will be banned.
